I did a lot of research before deciding to purchase this product from ASUS Netpal Disney – Magic Blue 8.9-inch Netbook – 5 hours battery life for my family. One of the reasons I bought this on Nickelodeon / Netbook Dell – or another brand netbook – is that it is advertising that the RAM can be expanded up to 2GB. Asus does not offer upgrades at the factory. When I received the Netpal this week, the guarantee states that must be served by an authorized repair shop. So I called tech support and asked them about the update. They said they do not recommend upgrading to 2GB RAM, do not do in their service centers, and that would void the warranty. Anywhere on the Internet is advertised that you can upgrade to 2GB of RAM. Be sure to consider this before buying. I am not very happy with this purchase. I can not even get some of the links on the Disney site to work. [...]. is very rich content and many links to videos and games simply will not load.

We got this for my daughter for her 4th birthday and it is its size and work great. He says for 6-12 years, but you are responsible with computers and used to working on them. I decided for netbook Disney, instead of a regular netbook because it says it has a spill-resistant keyboard and should be more robust. I can not say if this is true because it is the only netbook currently own. We like the ASUS brand of computer so that was a plus.

I thought, like the parent who is on it, but that is totally unnecessary. It ‘nice, but makes it impossible to add anything or do anything on the desktop and the internet pretty much. My daughter loves to play Jumpstart and some other online games and has proved much easier than using a normal desktop for all his stuff. You can still turn on the desktop to go to Disney to play those games so it works ok.

This is a fast car and so far has had good battery life. We are very pleased so far. I just wish Netbooks had space for an internal optical drive, as my daughter has several games that require the CD to be in play. But that is fixed easily with one out.

I bought this for my grandson 7 years old, and really like it. The set-up for new users is a bit ‘of confusion. Parents must first create their user accounts only, and then then create the account for the child using the tool of parental control. The manual is poor, and there is no help on-line at Asus still is. Like another reviewer mentioned, is a bit ‘difficult to add programs for the platform Disney. We’re still trying to figure out how to add Windows Media Player. Disney Media player is limited by the fact that the screen size is about 3 “and can not be expanded. A DVD player is not necessary, just use a DVD ripper and converters and save files to an SD card. Just remember you are paying for the name of Disney, because there’s no way I’d buy a 9 “Netbook for almost $ 350 for me when there are better alternatives for that price. Oh, well, it’s very nice.
