When I saw the package, the first thing that made me happy was the size of this camera. I travel a fair amount for business and have a two year old daughter, so I always take a camera with me to talk with her during the night and allow her to see me. The size of this camera is as good as it gets for traveling, and also includes a padded bag to carry it great.
The other aspect of this product that I loved is its image quality, especially with regard to how well you adjust the image to the light as well as when you are on a Skype call and moves the person the other side can clearly see the movement instead of seeing a stain on their screen. I respect her side by side with the quality of my previous camera, which costs about half of what you go through, and the quality difference was huge, making this a great purchase.
In terms of software installation, the instructions are simple and clear and the process does not take too long. The only thing that can be improved is that when it comes to where you are prompted to connect the camera, while the computer is checking the configuration, installation screen keeps asking for the camera to be plugged in. People used to install Plug-and-play hardware will quickly realize what is happening, but some users may be confused by this and start to disconnect and connect the device.
In terms of using the camera with Skype, the integration is perfect. The only setting I had was to manually adjust the microphone, but this is simple, I just need to go to Options / Sound Devices and select the appropriate audio a. One last thing to consider is that for the camera work with Skype is necessary to close the Logitech Quickcam software, since the image can not be used by both programs at the same time.
Overall I’m very pleased with this product, and then the minor problems mentioned above, the only other thing that interested me was not the stand. This camera works great if you plan to clip to your laptop screen, but the support provided for use with desktops is wobbly and does not help with image quality at all.

Update: A replacement unit is a good attention from side to side. The lack of focus that I’ve seen seems to be specific units. Check your drive for uniformity across the entire field of view of its attention to prevent a defective product. Once you have a good image quality is excellent.
This webcam offers a better picture than the camera of a MacBook. Yes, it works with Mac OS 10.4.10 natively as a device UVC. However, the unit I purchased had a defect of focus. The left side of the picture was always a little ‘out of focus, while the right side of the image was well focused. As a result, the system very nice lens I could not get the right whole image. This lack of focus was not so evident at low iChat resolution 640 x 480, but if the native resolution images were captured using other capture software webcam, left on 1 / 3 of the image was clearly out of focus. I believe that the unit had its glass lens inclined to prevent the CCD always carry both sides of focus. As a result, the camera lens is touted superior was largely denied.
However, it is otherwise an impressive camera that provides better tolerance to low light than the built-in MacBook. The highest resolution CCD is impressive (concentrated in portions of photos of him) and the response of the range that has transmitted an image with more depth.
If the entire image were in focus simultaneously (in full resolution capture) would have given using 5 stars. With the optical defect, I can only give 3 / 5. It ‘possible that other samples may have a better alignment between the lens and CCD, but without testing in several different units, I do not know if the problem is a design flaw or just a single unit missaligned.

This is the webcam for use with a laptop. The picture quality is exceptional and works well even in low light. The cable is long enough to connect up to a USB port without getting in the way and saves space when packed in a small neoprene case is included. Logitech also thought to include a handy Velcro strap on the mini USB cable to keep things organized. There is a small microphone and fully adequate with the camera. The stand that is included with the camera breaks into three smaller pieces so that it can also be easily inserted into a bag of tools. I am a bit ‘in question is not quite robust enough for the assembly-and-steady dismantling. I can see the stand with a little ‘when you attend classes because they isolate the microphone from the sound of typing on the keyboard. I also own a Quick Cam Ultra Vision on a workstation at work. All in all, I would say that this webcam small that the huge Ultra Vision for a good price for its image quality and features, but is much more convenient for the road warrior. Logitech web cam is obviously taking it seriously – these are the two best webcam I’ve ever seen. Suddenly, video conferencing, video Skype, video and OneNote notes a must have.
