I’ve been waiting for the Core i7 laptop to release and here it is. I initially had a Dell XPS 16 on order forever and a day (32 days to be exact) and delayed again, so I looked elsewhere. Amazon had this in stock and got it for shipment the next day for $ 40! Saved a ton off the Dell version.
As for the laptop itself is a great machine. It starts very fast, do not overheat (considering the equipment). The screen is beautiful and the keyboard is a nice feel for it. What had to take my Core 2 Duo desktop 12 hours to do, this is in 4 (compression and archiving over 100 GB of photos in a file. Rar)! I tried to tax the crap out of it and can never get the processor to 100%. Gaming will correct the error.
I’m not a huge gamer, but I wanted a powerful machine for a lot of photo \ footage and even the occasional game (COD MW2). Furthermore, as a student, I often connect external monitor and use Dragon NS 10.1 and has absolutely no problem with it. This is too one-sided, but a sweet car though.
Pro-built in Blue-tooth, sweet wireless card, cooling seems adequate. Core i7!
Some boring-Lights on the outside cover can not be turned off.
A note to write more in Amazon only states 4gb, but can actually go to 8GB ASUS seconds and a lot of ’boutique’ sites.
Reasons for not getting four stars:
BATT very low. life-notebook gaming, so take for what it’s worth
No fingerprint reader (comes with face recognition, but that can be beaten with photo)

A laptop truly excellent game for the money. Certainly not as fast as a dedicated gaming platform desktop, but for a portable one is hard to beat. My only complaint would be the LCD screen is a bit ‘faded, which seems to be by the LED at the top of the lid. Notice that the system is asleep and the screen raised, you can see from bleedthrough flashing LED in the logo. Not a major problem, but if I had one complaint, that would be it. Also, to my surprise this thing is pretty cool to the touch. I expected to get very hot, but it is not. The air coming out from the left side is very hot, but the laptop remains cool to touch. You can actually play for hours without cooking the hands and face off.

* Plays Dragon Age, torches, Empire Total War, LFD1, Warhammer: DOW2, ofp2: Dragon Rising, MSFlight X, Demigod, all very well at native res
* World of Warcraft works beautifully at native res!
* The keyboard functions well and has adjustable lighting
* Relatively quiet for a laptop gaming
* I7 is incredibly fast
* HDMI and VGA output means that this can be used to play on a TV (to keep the lid open!)
* Including the mouse and the bag are the quality is excellent and high
* Absolutely reliable, no crashes, even after hours of play
Cons:
* The LED light in the lid can bleed through the LCD display
* ARMA2 handles very badly
* 260M graphics card slightly underclocked on this model
* Can not be used to play on an external monitor with lid closed (even if not unexpected)

I’ve been on the market for a new laptop that I could carry with me to go to work. This was the only car I could find that had set the specifications I wanted.
I do not make the game a lot on my PC. I use mainly for work: multimedia editing / production. In the short time I’ve had this car has blown away with its performance. Previews video rendering very fast for a laptop. Captures also play very well. Ripping and burning the disc is fast and flawless.
I would recommend this machine is very large for those looking for a portable Multimedia Station for editing.
